About The Board
AIGA Indy is volunteer-led. Our board is made up of passionate, motivated individuals who care about supporting and growing the local design community. Together, we plan programming, create opportunities for learning and connection, and help make design more accessible across Indiana.
We’re looking for people who are excited to contribute, collaborate, and help push AIGA Indy forward.
Support and highlight the Indy design community
Build skills in leadership, collaboration, and event planning
Free access to AIGA Indy events and discounts on national events
Connect with local, regional, and national design networks
Help shape the future of our local design culture
Give back to emerging creatives
There are several benefits to joining the AIGA Indy Board.
Board members serve as ambassadors for AIGA Indy and help guide the chapter’s direction.
You don’t need to be a designer, just someone excited to contribute. New board members receive training and ongoing support.
Commitment
1–2 year term (many members choose to serve longer)
Terms begin January 1
Monthly board meetings and required planning retreats
Attendance at ~80% of AIGA Indy events (board members attend free)
Active participation via Slack and email
Weekly time commitment varies by role and season.
